HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and members of the CDC will discuss the importance of young people getting the H1N1 vaccine and overall nationwide effort to encourage more Americans to get the H1N1 flu vaccine during National Influenza Vaccination Week.
During National Influenza Vaccination Week, HHS and the CDC will be spearheading efforts to urge more Americans to get vaccinated against H1N1. Planned events across the country intend to spread the message, that H1N1 vaccination is the best defense against the flu, through outreach activities, vaccination clinics and other events.

National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW), January 10-16, 2010, is a national observance that was established to highlight the importance of continuing influenza vaccination, as well as fostering greater use of flu vaccine after the holiday season into January and beyond. Thursday, Jan. 14 is Young Adults Flu Vaccination Day.
